SEPANG: Airport workers at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 recently received a boost of appreciation and caffeine as Nescafe teamed up with Malaysian Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) to recognise the efforts of personnel working behind the scenes to keep the country connected.
Held under the “Ngopi Dulu, Kekal Bersemangat Bersama” campaign, the initiative saw Nestlé Malaysia refurbish a community room at KLIA Terminal 1, creating a dedicated space for airport staff to rest, recharge and unwind during their shifts.
The upgraded facility also includes a vending machine stocked with products from Nescafe as well as other familiar Nestlé brands such as Milo, KitKat and Maggi.

Nestle Malaysia CEO Juan Aranols said the initiative was aimed at showing appreciation to airport personnel who work tirelessly to ensure smooth daily operations.
“Airport operations move at a fast pace and are filled with challenges. We wanted to create something meaningful for the KLIA community, especially those who work long hours to ensure everything runs smoothly every day,” he said during the unveiling ceremony.
As part of the programme, more than 5,000 cans of Nescafe beverages, including Original, 3x Shot, Latte and Mocha, were distributed to airport workers throughout the day.
The atmosphere was further enlivened with a surprise appearance by Malaysian artiste Black Hanifah, who delivered a special performance for airport staff.
According to Nescafe, the collaboration marks the beginning of more initiatives aimed at making recharge spaces and pick-me-up services more accessible to the KLIA community in the future.
