KUCHING: Passengers taking their first AirBorneo flight shared positive feedback on the airline’s service, punctuality and overall travel experience, while expressing hope that Sarawak’s own carrier will continue to grow.
Sarawak Tribune interviewed three passengers about their first experience flying with AirBorneo, with each sharing their thoughts on the airline’s service.
Rumsfeld Sigag Christopher Wesly, 22

“I really enjoyed my first AirBorneo flight. The service was good, the cabin crew were friendly, and the flight was smooth and punctual. I’d give it a nine out of 10 because it’s still a new airline. I would definitely recommend AirBorneo to my friends and family. I think the RM375 fare is worth it because it includes a 23kg baggage allowance, a meal and seat selection. I usually travel with a lot of luggage, so the baggage allowance was one of the reasons I chose AirBorneo. I’m also proud that Sarawak now has its own airline.”
Valeney Bong, 32

“This is my first time taking AirBorneo, and I am very satisfied with the experience. The check-in and boarding processes were smooth, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the flight journey was comfortable. The ticket price was worthwhile as it included baggage, seat selection, in-flight meals and the option to change flights. Overall, the service provided was very satisfying, and my first experience with AirBorneo was very positive.”
Jenny Uding, 29

“This was my first time flying from Kuching to Limbang for the Yayasan Sarawak Education Expo programme. I think everything was good, especially the service. It met my expectations because the flight experience was very good. The service and hospitality were satisfactory. The refreshments were also good. Since it was only a flight to Limbang, they served light refreshments such as muffins and cookies. I would recommend AirBorneo to others because we should support our local airline. As Sarawakians, we should be proud that we have our own airline.”
