MIRI: Team Kasih Serantau Borneo (One Family) has extended a helping hand to a patient from Limbang who is currently undergoing treatment at Miri Hospital.
The group presented financial assistance to Mohd Eriffin bin Abdullah, from Kampung Tuna, Limbang, who has been receiving treatment for the past five days.
Mohd Eriffin is undergoing follow-up treatment and medical investigations after doctors suspected he may have an infection.
The contribution was handed over by Nor Rafiah Zainal to Mohd Eriffin’s daughter, Nor Sanita Mohd Eriffin.
Nor Rafiah said the group was informed of Mohd Eriffin’s condition and the challenges faced by the family while waiting for further medical examinations and treatment.
“Out of concern and in the spirit of family, Team Kasih Serantau Borneo immediately mobilised a quick fundraising effort to help ease the burden on him and his family during his treatment at Miri Hospital,” she said.
She said while the contribution might be modest, it represented the community’s concern and solidarity with those facing difficult circumstances, particularly patients and families going through medical treatment.
She hoped the assistance would provide Mohd Eriffin and his family with some encouragement and strength as he continues his treatment.
The group also expressed hope that the assistance would help ease the family’s financial burden and that Mohd Eriffin would regain his health and return home safely.
