Singer Aina Abdul regards her recognition at the Tourism Industry Awards 2026 (TIA26) as more than just an acknowledgement of her achievements in the entertainment industry. Instead, she sees it as a responsibility to continue creating and contributing to the country’s tourism industry.
The ‘Sadis’ singer received the Celebrity Of The Year award at the ceremony organised by the Malaysia International Tourism Development Association (MITDA) and Santai Travel, in collaboration with Tourism Selangor, recently.
In a social media post, Aina expressed her gratitude for the recognition, while acknowledging the weight of the responsibility that comes with it as an artiste.
“Ya Allah, this responsibility is great, but I remain grateful for whatever comes my way, including this recognition.
“I know there is still so much for me to learn and achieve. There is still so much I want to do, and stories from my heart that I want to share through my future work.
“So, when I received the call, I cried. I was so touched and emotional that I began wondering what I had actually done.
“Am I worthy? What I know for sure is that this is a great responsibility to never stop writing and singing,” she said.
Her post also drew congratulatory messages from fellow celebrities, including National Laureate Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza, as well as singers Anuar Zain and Aisha Retno.
