DBKU welcomes new director Jumaini Haili

KUCHING:  Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) welcomes its acting director Jumaini Haili as its new director.

He took over from  Dr Saadiah Abdul Samat who has been appointed as  Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Welfare, Women and Community Development.

Making the announcement during DBKU monthly assembly on Tuesday, DBKU Mayor Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai said Jumaini is a pioneer in DBKU and needs no introduction.

As new director of DBKU,  he believed, Jumaili’s presence would be able to help bring DBKU forward in providing excellent service to the people.

Jumaini in his speech said he is the sixth director of DBKU and there are six deputy directors under him. 

He hoped to be able to carry his duty well and he hoped to get the same cooperation as had been given to his predecessor.

“DBKU is for us all. DBKU is not for me, not for the mayor but for all of us,” he said.

He thanked the Mayor, his predecessor and also the State Secretary for giving him trust to become the 6th Director of DBKU.

Meanwhile, Wahap also announced the appointment of  Haji  Hasbi bin Suhaili from Pelita Holding Sdn Bhd as a new  senior officer in DBKU.

The Mayor also announced the appointment of Haji Morshidi as the new principal deputy director of DBKU.
