BOLLYWOOD star Hrithik Roshan is reportedly set to make a special appearance in Rajinikanth’s highly anticipated action sequel, ‘Jailer 2’.
According to recent reports, Hrithik will film his scenes in Chennai on June 22 and 23.
While details of his role remain under wraps, sources suggest that his character will play a significant part in advancing the film’s storyline.
The actor is also expected to debut a fresh look for the project, with several look tests said to be scheduled before filming begins.
The appearance will mark Hrithik’s second onscreen collaboration with Rajinikanth.
Their first was nearly four decades ago in the 1986 Hindi film ‘Bhagwaan Dada’, in which Hrithik appeared as a child actor alongside the superstar.
In a related development, reports indicate that Shah Rukh Khan, who had been linked to a possible guest appearance in the film, is unable to participate due to scheduling commitments.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, ‘Jailer 2’ boasts an impressive ensemble cast. In addition to Rajinikanth, the film is expected to feature Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Vijay Sethupathi, SJ Suryah and Yogi Babu, among others.
The sequel follows the success of 2023’s ‘Jailer’, which emerged as one of the biggest Tamil blockbusters of the year and was widely praised for Rajinikanth’s commanding performance.
