MIRI: Lutong JCI kicked off its 2023 itinerary with the Area Sarawak Academy programme held in Sarikei on Jan 14 and 15.
It was aimed at preparing the 2023 Board of the 13 JCI Local Organisations in Sarawak.
It covered various skills needed to effectively run an organisation, ranging from how to chair meetings to how to prepare the budget.
Lutong JCI president Sylvester Lim was awarded the Most Outstanding Male Academian.
Under his leadership, the organisation aims to include individuals of different abilities and of different cultural backgrounds in terms of membership and activities.
Lutong JCI made its mark in Area Sarawak as two past presidents will be serving on the board.
2022 president Sebastian Lim will be serving as Area Sarawak’s Linguistics Director and 2017 president Tan Chin Jie will be serving as Area Sarawak Secretary.
Nationally, 2016 president Kueh Sze Ling serves as the National President’s Special Assistant.
Lutong JCI’s 53rd Installation and Awards Banquet will be held on March 18 at Jin Hold Hotel here.
