KUCHING: Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow has arrived here today for a three-day work trip.
His arrival was welcomed by the Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts, Datuk Sebastian Ting, at 5 pm.
While in Kuching, Chow is expected to attend the opening sessions of the 27th World Congress on Innovation and Technology (WCIT) and the 6th International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (IDECS) 2023 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) tomorrow (Oct 4).
He is also slated to organise a courtesy visit to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and to make stops at the Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA), the Hydrogen Refuelling Station, and the Microalgae Production Facility.
Additionally, he will be attending the WITSA Global Innovation and Tech Excellence Award and Gala Dinner during his work visit.
