KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg attended breaking of fast event jointly organised by Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) Berhad, Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS) and Development Bank of Sarawak (DBOS) at the Hikmah Exchange Event Centre, here yesterday (Mar 8).
In a joint media release, the event aimed to honour and celebrate underprivileged children from Lembaga Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Negeri Sarawak (PERYATIM).
The highlight of the event saw the presentation of a RM25,000 donation to PERYATIM Sarawak and presentation of ‘duit raya’ to the recipients.
“This reflects the organisers’ unwavering commitment to uplifting the less fortunate and ensuring that no one is left behind during this blessed month,” it said.
The event saw about 400 guests in attendance, which served as a platform to strengthen bonds among stakeholders, corporate leadership, employees and the wider community.
The evening concluded with congregational prayers, including Maghrib, Isyak, and Tarawih.
