KUCHING: The 32nd PUSAKA Golf is set to bring together 128 participants from government agencies, subsidiary companies, timber industry players and the wider community at the Kelab Golf Sarawak (KGS) on September 13.

Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation’s (STIDC) General Manager, Datuk Zainal Abidin Abdullah, said the tournament is more than just a sporting event; it is a platform for bring all agencies together to foster strong relationships and connections.

“It gives us an opportunity to strengthen relationships and build stronger connections among all those who contribute to the development of the industry.

“This also allow us to build stronger networks and partnerships, while creating a relaxed environment for people to exchange ideas, connect with one another and strengthen the spirit of collaboration within the industry.

“The benefits of this tournament go beyond sports and physical well-being. It also provides an opportunity to bring people closer together, strengthen professional relationships, and contribute towards building a more competitive local timber industry,” he said.

He said this in his speech during the PUSAKA Hole-In-One Prize and Challenge Trophy Presentation – PISAKA Golf at Dewan Seminar PUSAKA, Wisma Sumber Alam, this morning.

Furthermore, Zainal also expressed hope that the current weather condition will improve ahead of the tournament.

“Should there be any changes to the programme due to unfavourable haze conditions, we will inform all parties concerned accordingly,” he noted.
