MIRI: Firefighters here rescued a man trapped inside a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) that was sinking in the sea at Lutong Beach on Monday morning (Sept 28).
According to a spokesperson from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a distress call pertaining to the incident was received at 5.32am.
Following the call, a team of firefighters from Lutong fire station rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found that the MPV was almost submerged. Near to it was a grounded barge.
The victim was handed over to the emergency medical rescue service (EMRS) unit after he was rescued.
No injuries or casualties were reported.
