LIMBANG: Two men were seriously injured after an airconditioner compressor of an express boat exploded while unde rgoing maintenanc e at Shin Matu Dockyard in Jalan Buangs iol here, on Fr iday night.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre said the victims – Wong Ching Sieng, 61, and Saifudin Serap, 33 – were being treated at the Limbang Hospital.
“Wong sustained a fractured right limb and burns while Saifudin is suffering from facial and bodily burns,” said a statement from the department. The Limbang Fire and Rescue Department had received the distress call at 7.38pm and arrived at the scene two minutes later.
