KUCHING: In Selangau a woman told police that her husband who went out in a longboat was missing.
In her report lodged at Selangau police station just before 12.30pm, she said her husband went out about 3.30pm on Wednesday.
When he failed to return home she was prompted to lodge a missing person report.
On receiving the report, Selangau police immediately carried out a search and rescue (SAR) operation.
At 2.40pm yesterday, the SAR team found the longboat. It was broken and was stuck to tree branch on the bank. The missing man, however, was nowhere in sight.
