SONG: A local man sustained minor injuries after his pick-up truck plunged into a ravine along Jalan Temalat last night (May 12).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Song station were dispatched to the scene, about 14km away, following a distress call at 10.40 pm.
They confirmed that a Toyota Hilux had veered off the road and fallen into a ravine.
The driver had managed to exit his overturned vehicle before firefighters arrived at the scene. He sustained light injuries.
The victim was handed over to the police to be transported to the nearest hospital for further treatment.
The team wrapped up the operation at 11.18 pm.
