KAPIT: Two brothers have been arrested in Tatau over the fatal stabbing of a disc jockey (DJ) at an entertainment centre along Jalan Tun Jugah last week.
Kapit police chief DSP Rohana Nanu said the suspects, aged 30 and 36, were detained on Sept 19, and several items believed to be linked to the case were seized from them.
One of them admitted to stabbing the victim, identified as 33-year-old Patrick Alvin Jeffery, with a sharp object, while the other was present during the incident on Thursday (Sept 18).
“The victim entered the premises covered in blood at around 10.30 pm and asked for help before collapsing.
“A post-mortem conducted at Sibu Hospital confirmed that the cause of death was a stab wound to the chest which penetrated the heart,” she said.
Both suspects have been remanded for further investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Rohana preliminary findings indicate the motive was believed to be personal revenge.
