KUCHING: The historic Old Courthouse will host the ‘Gembiria Balik Kampung’ Buffet from Feb 25 to March 18, promising a festive culinary celebration.
According to organiser, Food Journal, the buffet concept celebrates togetherness while highlighting kampung-style dishes prepared with contemporary flair.
“We wanted to create an experience that feels warm, nostalgic and festive, especially during this meaningful season of gathering,” said Food Journal in a press statement on Tuesday (Feb 24).
Diners can indulge in more than 35 delectable dishes carefully curated to reflect Malaysia’s rich culinary diversity and multicultural heritage.
Among the main attractions is the Asado Barbeque Station, serving freshly grilled selections prepared live to ensure robust flavours and smoky perfection.
The Paella Station offers hearty Spanish-inspired rice dishes, while the Kebab Station presents succulent cuts paired with aromatic spices and sauces.
Diners craving comfort food can head to the Noodle Station, where chefs customise bowls with preferred ingredients and broths.
To complete the experience, the Ice Kacang Station allows guests to personalise their dessert with colourful syrups and toppings.
“We believe variety is essential, so every guest, regardless of age, will find something delightful and satisfying,” it said.
Corporate groups can enjoy a special rate of RM88 nett per adult with a minimum booking of 10 persons.
The normal rate is RM98 nett per adult, while children aged six to 12 dine at RM48 nett.
Children under five years old enjoy complimentary dining, making the buffet an attractive option for larger family gatherings.
