The provision carries a penalty of imprisonment for up to seven years, or a fine, or both, upon conviction.
Kuzaini committed the offence at about 4 pm on May 19 at a restaurant near Saradise here.
According to the charge, he threatened to burn down his mother’s house with the intent of causing alarm to her.

Police arrested the accused at about 12.45 am on May 21 following investigations by personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Kuching district police headquarters.

The urine sample was subsequently sent to the Drug and Research Laboratory of the Department of Pathology at Sarawak General Hospital for analysis, which confirmed the presence of the dangerous drugs in the sample.
