KUCHING: The Sarawak Insurance Association (PIS) will be organising a public forum on Sep 13 at the Waterfront Hotel from 9am to 11.30am.
The forum, organised together with the State Security and Enforcement Unit in the Chief Minister’s Department, is held in conjunction with the association’s 40th anniversary.
“We believe through this forum, many queries could be resolved, and to update the public’s general knowledge about security and risk management issues,” the unit’s director Datuk Dr Chai Khin Chung said after a meeting yesterday.
This event is fully supported by PDRM, JPJ, General Insurance Association of Malaysia (PIAM) and Life Insurance Association of Malaysia (LIAM).
Over 120 participants are expected and there will be opportunities to ask questions pertaining to security and risk management.
PIAM and LIAM will also be setting up booths promoting security, safety net and risk management.
Deputy State Secretary Datuk Ik Pahon Joyik will grace the event, and also the PIS anniversary dinner at 7.30pm.
