MIRI: Maintenance workers got down to brass tacks to clear a rockslide that rendered a section of Jalan Beluru-Lapok impassable to traffic on Monday.
“The road has since been cleared of rock debris and reopened to motorists,” said Public Works Department (JKR) Northern Zone manager Siaw Ming Chian on Tuesday (Jan 25).
According to him, rocks from a hill nearby gave way and tumbled onto the road late Monday evening following heavy rain in the area.
But there were nevertheless no reports of any untoward incident in the area.
