BALINGIAN: Travelling to and from longhouses in Sungai Liuk near here is more comfortable now after the existing road was upgraded.
Upgrading of Rumah Banyan road project which was implemented under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) was completed ahead of schedule.
The project commenced on May 26, 2019 but completed earlier than the scheduled date, September 25, 2019.
The completed project was handed over by the contractor Syarikat Usahaniaga Pulat to the village development and security committee (JKKK) during a simple ceremony at Rumah Jugah in Sungai Liuk yesterday.
A representative from the contractor handed over the document to JKKK chairman cum longhouse chief Jugah as a symbolic gesture, witnessed by Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi.
Jugah on behalf of the locals thanked Abdul Yakub for his effort in helping to realise the project.
Abdul Yakub on the other hand, thanked the contractor for their effort in completing the project much earlier.
