PADAWAN: A 20-year-old woman who went missing from Jalan Stephen Yong on Aug 26, has been found safe in Kangar, Perlis.
Padawan police chief Supt Barry William said the woman was located by police at around 4 pm on Merdeka Day (Aug 31).
“She has been found safe in Kangar, Perlis.
“Her family has been informed and is currently on the way to bring her back to Sarawak,” he said in a statement yesterday (1 Sept).
The woman was reported missing after she was last seen at Taman Kwong Thiong at around 3 pm on Aug 26. She was wearing a grey blouse and black pants at the time.
Barry stated that a missing-person report was lodged at Batu Kawa police station at around 3.49 pm on Aug 27, and her disappearance was publicised on social media.
Following the victim’s discovery, he thanked all parties who provided assistance and information which helped police locate the missing woman.
