KUCHING: The annual ‘Breakthrough WeCare Fest’ is set to return for its fifth edition on September 16, offering a day of community spirit, food and performances at the Association of Churches Sarawak (ACS) Building, Jalan Stampin here.
Running from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm, the event will carry the theme ‘Together we can make a difference for the poor, weak and marginalised around us’, reflecting its purpose of uniting people while supporting those in need.
In a statement, the organiser said the event, which celebrates Malaysia Day, would not only serve as a fundraiser but also as a gathering rich in friendship, laughter and shared purpose.
“Together, we believe that change can begin with simple acts of care – and on Malaysia Day, those acts will taste delicious,” the statement added.
More than 40 stalls will offer a variety of local and international dishes, including homemade pies, snacks and drinks, alongside a coffee corner and hawker food.
The programme will also feature vibrant stage performances, creating a lively atmosphere for families and friends throughout the morning.
Beyond food and entertainment, the festival is designed as both a fundraiser and a platform to strengthen friendships while supporting a noble cause.
